Bath Christmas Market

Last night we wandered around Bath Christmas Market, a nice dry evening and we were surprised how quiet it was compared to other visits.

Not tonight Joséphine

I think it’s the first time in about 15 years I have missed the Switch on for Bath’s Christmas Lights,
It was usually on Thursday and that was one of my evenings to work, when I retired I carried on doing it free for old time’s sake.

The Beau Street Hoard

Beau Street Hoard Road Show rolled into Combe Hay on Saturday, 17,500 silver Roman coins dating from between 32 BC and 274 AD were found under the Beau Street building (top left)  about  490 ft from the town's Roman Baths during conversion from a school to a hotel.
Thing for all ages to do including striking your own coin.

And illustrated lectures
There was a chance to handle this incredible Hoard, the 5th largest found in the UK.
A resin cast of the fourth bag before the coins were conserved.

Don’t miss you chance to see this show, more dates HERE
